چکیده
This article presents an instruction-set extension to the open-source RISC-V ISA (RV32IM) dedicated ultra-low power (ULP) software-defined wireless IoT transceivers. The custom instructions are tailored needs of 8/16/32-bit integer complex arithmetic typically required by quadrature modulations. proposed occupies only two major opcodes and most designed come at a near-zero energy cost. Both instruction accurate (IA) cycle (CA) model new architecture used evaluate six baseband processing test benches including FSK demodulation LoRa preamble detection. Simulation results show count improvements from 19 68 percent. Post synthesis simulations for target 22nm FD-SOI technology less than 1 percent 28 area overheads, respectively, relative baseline RV32IM design. Power peak consumption 380 µW Bluetooth LE 225 detection (BW = 500 kHz, SF 11).

متن کاملAn ultra low power wake-up signal decoder for wireless nodes activation in Internet of Things technology
This paper proposes a new structure for digital address decoders based on flip-flops with application in wake-up signal generators of wireless networks nodes. Such nodes equipped with this device can be utilized in Internet of Things applications where the nodes are dependent on environment energy harvesting to survive for a long time. Different parts in these wireless nodes should have an e...

متن کاملUltra Low Power Symmetric Pass Gate Adiabatic Logic with CNTFET for Secure IoT Applications
With the advent and development of the Internet of Things, new needs arose and more attention was paid to these needs. These needs include: low power consumption, low area consumption, low supply voltage, higher security and so on. Many solutions have been proposed to improve each one of these needs. In this paper, we try to reduce the power consumption and enhance the security by using SPGAL, ...
متن کاملA 0.2 V, 23 nW CMOS Temperature Sensor for Ultra-Low-Power IoT Applications
We propose a fully on-chip CMOS temperature sensor in which a sub-threshold (sub-VT) proportional-to-absolute-temperature (PTAT) current element starves a current-controlled oscillator (CCO). Sub-VT design enables ultra-low-power operation of this temperature sensor. However, such circuits are highly sensitive to process variations, thereby causing varying circuit currents from die to die. We p...
